Nutritionist Profiles

Hi I’m Di, co-director of Mint Health & Fitness and Clinical Nutritionist.

My interest in nutrition has come from a desire to prevent disease.   Generally & simply I deal both with the knowledge of how food works in the body and what influence food & supplements have on health & disease.
I have been involved in the education & the clinical practice of nutrition medicine for 10+ years.   I passionately dislike ‘fad diets’ which enforce the restriction & elimination of foods (food is an important part of a balanced diet!), instead prefer to educate clients in healthy eating plans and improving the quality of foods they eat.

There  are no gimmicks to Mint’s wellness & fat loss programmes and no quick fixes, and it can be hard work turning weight loss into a healthy lifestyle,  but the reward for many is less time spent experiencing  average or poor health & no more rebound weight gain issues for those looking to improve their body composition long term and BWI (body wobble index)!

I believe that if people are better educated about their bodies and the importance of nutrition to their health, they will be more inclined to pay attention to what they eat, and supplement their diets where necessary.

I know that watching what I eat, along with supplementation as required, makes a difference in my own life and well being,  passing on that knowledge and experience I hope will assist others in preventing or reversing chronic illness.
